This utility is a Java applet running within your web browser.
Every time you look at a new part class (such as, say, "ceramic capacitors"), it pulls a data file from our server.
As long as the applet is running, it will retain that information, so next time you use that part class, it will be faster.
The data files store information gathered from a vast experience in components used in the electronics industry.
The applet knows how to manage such vast amount of data to make it readily available to you.
